A Life in Invention — Mr Nicholas Bredimus

Posted in Business Performance, Internet Social Resources at 10:43 pm

Hailing from New Jersey, Nicholas Bredimus looked at the world of software, airlines, and hospitality together and revitalized these trades. This resourceful man has become a standout in many fields, from the designer home industry through the essentials of air safety and software to help with time management. And whatever he turns to, he can deliver every ounce of his energy to it.

You could have predicted, of course, that given his heritage he was sure to reach the top. Drawn together from a true melting pot, his family traces to Antiquity, with his mother’s side emerging from Germany and Scotland. An equally varied mix dominates his father’s branch; previous to coming to America near the end of the nineteenth century, the family lived in Luxembourg and England.

Even after emigration to the United States, the family continued its work ethic and zeal to survive and thrive. Born one of seven children — three boys and four girls — Nicholas was blessed with a father employed as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who worked as a nurse. He would live for many years in cities across several states.

Nicholas has taken on respected roles with firms throughout the air travel sector — the bulk of them big brands. Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines, Hughes Airwest — these firms would all at one time or another name him their vice president. Nevertheless, above all the airlines have had reason to be grateful for services in the field of computer programming. He is famed for a project for US Airways, his airplane maintenance applications that come into use by most airlines. Of course, this was just one of his standout products for airlines and for the hotel business. The reservation programs he developed are on their way to becoming as commonly used as the aforementioned software, and his room booking program empowered several major businesses in the hotel industry to integrate a PC based infrastructure. He went on to design a program known as QuikTix, the world’s first automatic ticket sales network. No matter the fact that it was his specialty, he regularly worked on areas not connected to software. In his own company, as a Division Manager with American Express, and as the inaugural president of AMR Travel Services his track record speaks for itself. But is he still active? Definitely so — his intelligence is ready to answer the call in spite of his leaving prior interests in the past. His interest now is with the architectural concerns tied to the evolution of environmentally sound, hitech high-priced homes. It’s really amazing how far spirit will carry you…
