Final Table of a MTT

Posted in Casino Stuff, Fun, Games + Cheats at 4:31 pm

In another small MTT I reached the final table with some online poker chips. I was right in the middle of the field. 7 places paid and the final table consisted of 10 players. By staying out of the way and not picking up any great cards, I was able to make it to the money relatively easily. However, I was blinding down. When we got down to 6 online poker players I had about 17K and the blinds were 600/1200. The big stack had over 100,000 chips. He raised my big bind to 3,600. Everyone folded and I looked down at AQ off-suit. With only about 15BBs, I decided the best move was to shove all-in. It might look like a re-steal, which would be great if I could get the big stack to call me with a lesser ace on that assumption. Also, there are only a few hands that have me in serious trouble. If my opponent has a small pair he might fold, or at worst I’m a 50/50. I was called by the big tack and he had AK. Oh no! I got caught. But wait! Is that a Queen on the flop?! It sure was. I doubled up to about 35K and was now in comfortable position, 3rd of the 6 remaining poker online players. The player to my immediate right was playing vey weak. I had him covered by about 10K, but if I lost an all-in to him, I would be crippled. In a small blind big blind confrontation he 3x’d the blind. I looked down at 66 and shoved over the top of him. He claimed that he folded 8s, which I doubt, but this also gave me confidence that he was a very conservative player. A few hands later he limped into my BB. He’d lost a few hands and I had him about 2-1 in chips and decided to shove on him with ace high. There was a large chance that I was ahead and he might be frustrated enough to call my bet. He again folded and announced his frustration in the chat box. Someone else got knocked out, and then I picked up AK. There was a 3x raise to 3600 and I shoved for 29K. The player who raised had about 40K chips and was in 2nd place. He insta-called the 26K more and tabled 99. I failed to hit my overs and he actually improved to a set. I was out in 5th place.
