Compassion for Losing My Hair: Synthetic Wigs with Mother

I did not expect my style would rest on quality lace front wigs for fashion. It’s not unusual, I often recall my mother making up her glamorous honeycomb hair style, which looked like a stack of wigs, in the car’s rearview. It was mystically inspiring to us as a vision for any woman who saw it, and she showed it off any chance she got. Mom could deny its powers, no matter who they were. The woman had little use for wigs. When I was playing with wigs I would think that this is something I could look forward to on a day to day basis.

Sometimes, somethings never turn out the way you thought. Wigs are actually a piece of daily routine, and I appreciate how low maintenance they are! Here’s the story. Recently I started to lose my hair. The problem was medical hair loss from alopecia. My specialist thoughtfully advised I try on synthetic wigs. Instead, the first thing I did to make things get better was to tear up and call my mother, Cindy.

Then I realized this was an awful idea, because of my mother’s life-long hair of perfection especially when it comes to hair fashions. I realize how she labors over her hair, but it’s a stupid thing to imagine your mother won’t care. I called her up shopping for
