Christmas is a tradition that is cherished and enjoyed worldwide every year. Millions of people look for a special and unique way to remember their yearly celebration. A wonderful way to do this is with an engraved Christmas ornament.
Every family starts a little tradition of their own such as: eating waffles for breakfast on Sunday, having pizza every Friday evening, playing a game Saturday afternoon together, having Christmas dinner together or creating an engraved Christmas ornament every year with which they decorate the tree year after year as they add on.
Engraving allows you to remember a moment forever along with the thoughts and people who were there that day; many people try and freeze special moments by engraving their wedding rings, engagement rings, a trophy or a Christmas ornament. Christmas is a time of the year that we all cherish so why not immortalize these wonderful times by making an engraved Christmas ornament every year?
Many companies follow this tradition as well by creating an engraved Christmas ornament yearly such as, Swavorski who makes beautiful crystal figurines and jewelry, and every year creates a snowflake with the respective year engraved on it. Like Swavorski there are many companies who create a unique engraved Christmas ornament for their fans and admirers to add to their collection.
These special keepsakes do not have to be only a tradition of big business companies. You can replicate the same thing in your own way. Creating your own personalized engraved Christmas ornament is a lovely way for you to remember each year that passes.
This is yet another way to write history; years from today your grandchildren or their children will treasure the ornaments and continue to pass them on from generation to generation. The engraved Christmas ornament that you make each year will become a special part of the history book of your family.
Enjoy every minute you have in the presence of your family and friends and do whatever it takes to immortalize those moments whether it is pictures, writing or an engraved Christmas ornament, it is worth the trouble in the end.
The process of making the ornaments is easy and can be done at home with the right tools. There are small engraving guns found in department stores, which will help you do it yourself provided you follow the instructions exactly. Although children will want to participate in this interesting craft project, remind them that the tools are for grown-ups and they can help as long as you are present.
Christmas is a magical time of year and although videos and images can capture the moment, it’s a lovely gesture to make something that reflects the mood and feelings. An engraved Christmas ornament will sit proudly on your holiday tree year and year reminding you and your family of all the precious years you’ve shared and hopefully will share in the future.

When it comes time to buying replacement speakers for a car audio system, there are several mistakes which are commonly made. Be sure to read this handy guide to avoid the five most common mistakes when buying car speakers.
1. Plan your budget. Are you revamping your entire audio system? If so you need to allocate money to different parts of the system. If you are just changing the speakers, decide how much money you want to spend on them before seeing what is available. This will allow you to keep costs within a reasonable range.
2. Consider how much you are willing to modify your car. Some speaker systems require extensive modification. This is an extra cost which must be factored into your budget, and also may affect the resale value of the car if you decide you want to try and keep the audio system.
3. What do you use your car for? If you travel extensively and are on the road almost every day, you should probably splurge and buy the best quality speakers you can afford. After all, your car is like a second home, and anything you can do to make it more comfortable will enhance your working life. On the other hand, if you only use the car to go to the grocery store and most of the time it sits on the driveway, it’s a bit of a waste to go for high-end car speakers.
4. How long are you going to keep your car? If you plan on using the same car for two years or more, it makes sense to buy good-quality speakers. If you’re going to sell the car next month and are simpler looking for a upgrade to the audio system to make it easier to sell, keep your car speaker budget to a minimum.
5. What kind of music you listen to? This will have a big influence on the type of car audio system that you have. If you like to listen to strong, bass-heavy music, you should get powerful amplifiers and ample subwoofers. On the other hand, if your music tastes run to classical or pop, you want a speaker system which can reproduce the entire audio spectrum evenly.

Few modern weddings manage to avoid the ritual of wedding
favors. Traditionally, wedding favors are usually placed on the
table, in front of every guest, although this idea seems to have
diminished, in recent years. Choices of Wedding Favors
Trying to select a small gift that is going to appeal to the
entire wedding party is tricky, to say the least. Arguably it is
impossible! However, there are ways to avoid giving
inappropriate wedding favors, while also keeping the budget in
check. Why not simply create a selection of sweets and
chocolates that can be placed in the center of the table for all
to pick at. This is a great way of allowing people to choose
their own gifts, without having to worry about issues of taste.
With a small, intimate party, it is actually possible to
select gifts, individually. This is only really possible when
the party is very small; normally a maximum of thirty is
appropriate for these types of wedding favors. If you take this
approach, be certain that position the wedding favors correctly
and inline with the table settings or you might just find that
your carefully selected wedding favors end up in the wrong
hands! Edibles are always a good choice when it comes to
wedding favors as many people are getting quite hungry after the
ceremony and photographs. Sugared almonds are considered to be
the traditional wedding favors. However, the fact of the matter
is that not many people actually enjoy sugared almonds, so it
may be better to consider an alternative. Why not use chocolates
or sweets instead? If you are in a warm climate chocolates will
need to be stored in a refrigerator until the last minute, so
make sure that you have this facility. Alternatives to Wedding
Favors Moving away from the more traditional types of wedding
favors, you may wish to consider a more modern and innovative
approach. By daring to be different, not only can you save
yourself some money, but you are also more likely to make a
lasting impression on your guests. Some different ideas for
wedding favors include a lottery card each, but think about how
you would react if someone wins big-time on the ticket that you
have bought! If this thought does not appeal, then consider
having a raffle where everyone is given a ticket and there is a
range of prizes available. Another great idea could be to
place a bowl of goodies such as chocolates sweets and alcohol
miniatures, in the center of the table, allowing a bit of
potluck for the guests. If you have a bit more time on your
hands, you could wrap the wedding favors up and allow guests to
select their own and take a chance on the outcome. One of the
key things to remember with wedding favors is that you want to
generate discussion. When guests arrive at a wedding reception,
they are often slightly shy or timid and having a game involving
wedding favors will do wonders to break the ice!

In other words the ADEA permits employers to discriminate based on age considering age is legitimately necessary under the circumstances. Knolls totaled those scores and gave the employees additional points based on their years of service. It has the burden to prove that its decision was based on a reasonable factor other than age. For example it would not be illegal to consider criteria for a particular role in a movie that has a disparate impact on age if the part calls for someone of a particular age. In reaching its conclusion that the employer has the burden to prove the reasonable factors other than age defense the Supreme Court looked at another provision of the ADEA the bona fide occupational qualification defense. The Supreme Court ruled that if an employer seeks to rely on that defense. As long as the adverse action is based on reasonable factors other than age. Twenty-eight of those 53 employees sued under the ADEA claiming Knolls illegally fired them because of their age. The Supreme Court then agreed to hear the case and eventually reversed the Second Circuit and reinstated the jurys finding that Knolls policy unlawfully discriminated because of age. The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit initially affirmed the jurys findings but after the United States Supreme Court asked it to reconsider the Second Circuit reversed itself and ruled in favor of Knolls. Thirty of the 56 salaried employees the company laid off were at least 70 years old. The BFOQ defense states that it is not unlawful for an employer to take adverse employment actions otherwise prohibited by the ADEA where age is a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the particular business. At the trial a jury found Knolls had violated the ADEA because its layoff procedure had a disparate impact based on age. Specifically the jury found that although the plaintiffs did not prove that Knolls intentionally discriminated against them they did prove that Knolls method of deciding who to lay off disproportionately harmed older workers. In that case Meacham versus Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory the Supreme Court interpreted a provision of the ADEA that permits an employer to take an adverse employment action against an employee. It then used those totals to decide who to lay off. A lawyer from Texel won from a lawfirm in Greenwood Indiana The company had its supervisors rate their subordinates based on their performance flexibility and critical skills. The Supreme Court has previously recognized that the employer has the burden to establish the BFOQ affirmative defense. In Meacham Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory was planning to lay off a number of employees. Even if the employment action is otherwise prohibited by the ADEA.

UK has always been a beautiful and interesting travel destination but, unfortunately, is not one of the cheapest. Whether people want to visit London, Liverpool or explore Loch Ness, a lot of time is spent on finding the perfect combination of cheap flight and affordable hotel or hostel. With the recent economical problems and high fees, one must assume that UK flights are almost impossible to find. However, careful planning can get you a cheap flight. There are plenty of low cost carriers flying into the UK, but not necessarily into the big airports. So fly into a small airport and then take another means of transport for the rest of the journey. In fact, the majority of UK airports located in big cities are served by low cost carriers so make sure to check out plenty of offers before deciding which deal to accept. Of course, you should consider that the majority of low cost carriers fly into airports located far from the city so you will have to pay for the transfer to the hotel. But what you pay for that will save on the hotel room, so everything evens out and you are still going to save some money. Pair such cheap flights with a last minute hotel deal and you can really say your UK vacation is cheap. And if you decide to visit the country outside its tourist season (summer), the chances of paying even less are way higher.

How long have you and your fiance been engaged? Are you tired of waiting for the big wedding day? You just can’t wait to be Mr. and Mrs. “fill in name of couple.” Well, wait no more! Here are seven tips on how to plan your wedding in just 10 short days. They are in no means in any particular order — just use your own common sense.
1. Borrow your wedding dress
Are you the same dress size as another female family member or friend? Ask if you can wear their wedding dress in your wedding! Not only will you look fabulous, but you’ll already have your “something borrowed” for the tradition. Plus, if you borrow the dress from a family member, that will make the dress all the more special. Buy your garter and shoes at a wedding shop or even a craft supply store. You will have your “something new” and if you get a garter with a blue bow, there is your “something blue.” As for “something old,” borrow an item from a family member that has sentimental value. Take good care of it and give it right back after the wedding!
2. Make the invitations
Obviously you will not have time to order invitations, so make them yourself! You can purchase wedding invitation paper at your local office supply store, most of them come with a template that you can load onto your hard drive. Then, you design the invitation on your computer using the actual facsimile of the invitation on your screen. The package will even include some regular paper to test your designs on before you print them. Buy mailing labels that you can print from the computer also. This will save a lot of time and probably prevent you from developing carpal tunnel syndrome in the meantime!
3. Talk to someone at the wedding venue
Wherever you choose to have the wedding ceremony — a church, temple, non-denominational justice of the peace chambers — make sure you book the date and time you want/need for the wedding. If you need any special equipment, like a chupah (ceremonial canopy) for a Jewish wedding, make certain that it will be available. Ask about prices and see if you can cut a deal considering the short notice.
4. Book a house
Finding it difficult to book a reception in so little time? Have it at a relative’s house. Chances are that you are getting married in one of your hometowns (if you don’t share the same one) or current place of residence. What better way to save money on a banquet hall than by having the reception at the home of someone you know? Just make sure that it is large enough to accommodate all of your guests, food, cake, music, and gifts. If you prefer, you can even have the wedding ceremony at the house, as well.
5. Find a wholesale florist
Search for a local wholesale florist. Not only do they generally have many people working for them (meaning they can get large orders filled in little time), but since they get their supplies wholesale you will get a better price. Are you allergic to real flowers? Have them make fake bouquets. They can make them look just as beautiful and can even make them look real by adding effects (i.e., clear glue droplets made to look like water).
6. Plan the menu and do it yourself
Not meaning cook everything yourself, but you can order deli, veggie and fruit trays and have someone pick them up and arrange them at the reception house during the ceremony. Buy bottles of soda on sale and big bags of ice. Use paper plates and cups and use plastic utensils and buy a fancy-looking vinyl tablecloth. This will also make the clean-up a lot easier for whoever ends up cleaning. They’ll thank you for it later.
7. Friends, friends, friends!
Still need music, pictures, and a cake? Ask your friends! Even if none of your friends is a DJ/KJ, photographer, or baker, chances are they know some people who can cut you a deal. If you can’t afford a photographer, you probably have a friend who takes awesome pictures. Have them make the memories of your wedding. If there are family photos and such that you want, make sure you let them know. Get someone whom you know is famous for their goodies to make the cake. It may not be the five-tier cake that you dreamed about when you were ten, but it will be special just the same. If you are lucky, you have a friend who specializes in cake decorating who can build your five-tier dream. Use a small boom box for music at the ceremony and just have someone push the buttons. Make CD mixes of the songs you want in the order you want them. Supply the person with a list of what to play when and leave it to them. Have the same person bring the boom box to the reception house so that you can have your wedding party intros, first dance, etc.
So there you have it. It takes some time, but think of all the hassles you will avoid by marrying so quickly. There will be no time to change your mind about anything, much less change it several times. Taking these seven tips to heart will allow you to have a hassle-free, moderate-budget wedding of your dreams!

The fickle world of fashion can be incredibly frustrating when trying to figure what’s in, fashionably speaking. Fashionistas of all ages constantly seek the newest, hippest, most in item as quickly as possible, so you may feel like you are in a race to stay on top of the game. If you are wondering what’s in for a given season, look no further than the fashion magazines that flood the newsstand. Regardless if you are a devoted subscriber or possess a passing fancy in fashion, use these great sources to determine what items are considered the hottest for the upcoming season. Also, take a look at stores and the streets to see what people are buying and what they are wearing.
Although the world of fashion may take a drastic turn at any minute, today’s must have items are the following:
1.) Jackets, jackets, jackets to adore
The preppy look is back and jackets, blazers, and coats are now more popular than ever! Look for the classic blazer in unique materials and colors. Consider wearing that super preppy Kelly green corduroy blazer with your favorite, broken in jeans. Look at wearing that super soft velvet chinoise jacket with a dazzling silk skirt for the holiday season. For the chilly days, top a smart sweater with a snuggly down puffer vest for the sporty look that will keep you warm!
2.) Lingerie-inspired tops guarnateed to get you noticed
Whether you are hitting the hottest clubs or going to a business meeting, the hottest word in tops is the lingerie-inspired camis and tanks. These luxurious tops are usually made from supple silk with beading, sequins, embroidery, or lace accents. For the night life, wear these tops alone, but wear them under a great jacket (see above item!) for a hip, layered look. Pick a top in a juicy, vibrant color like apple green or jewel tone burgundy for that special addition to your holiday wardrobe.
3.) Wraps and shrugs, oo-la-la
Keep warm these chilly months while looking your best! Choose a luxurious pashmina wrap to serve as a stunning accessory and keep your bare shoulders warm. The newest trend in tune with the wrap fad is the shrug. This miniature sweater usually only covers the upper arms, either like a traditional sweater or a unique take on a cloak. The shrug provides a bit of warmth, but is mainly used for the fashion statement. For the hottest style of shrug, choose on in a richly dyed faux fur.

You have finally received that invitation to the party of the year. Whether it is a wedding, charity fundraiser, or other black tie event, you will need to head to your local retailer that carries formal dresses in plus size. You want to look your best, yet feel comfortable. There are many choices in formal dresses in plus size, so let’s review the best styles for your grand entrance.
You need to ask yourself what you will be doing at the party. Will you be kicking up your heels on the dance floor, posing for a multitude of photos, or greeting dignitaries in a receiving line? What you will be doing should influence what formal dress in plus size you need to select.
If you are a guest at a formal wedding, you will want to look for a dress that you will be comfortable in for at least six to eight hours. As well, because wedding photos will be kept for years and years, choose a style that isn’t too trendy. You don’t want to cringe twenty years from now when you look at the photos of yourself in the hot pink taffeta ensemble that the salesperson said was the look of the season.
If you will be dancing at the upcoming event, search for a formal dress that flatters the body but isn’t snug or restricting. The last thing that you want to be worried about is ripping a seam or exposing more of yourself than you want. Always remember that the fit of a dress is the important thing, not the size on the tag. You will look slimmer in a well-fitting dress than in one that puckers and bunches because it is too tight.
Once you have selected your ideal formal dress, the accessories and footwear you choose will complete your look. If your dress is ornate or cut high on the neck, limit your jewelry to a pair of eye-catching earrings. If you are showing décolletage, you can get away with a strand of pearls, diamond pendant, or even a statement piece of costume jewelry. Vintage bracelets and brooches look great with strapless dresses.
Since your hemline will most likely cover your footwear, it is perfectly acceptable to wear a sensible heel height. Look for a basic peau de soie or satin pump or sandal. Don’t feel obligated to dye your shoes to match your dress. You’ll get a lot more wear out of a pair that is a neutral shade.
With a little effort, you can create a perfect look for any special event. The right combination of style and comfort will keep you looking and feeling beautiful throughout the festivities.

You have several options to treat your post partum weight gain. The first is the option that you have chosen so far: keeping the weight you have and adding more and more and more. Obviously, this is not the best choice.
Another option is to try those ridiculously strict diets that no one can stay on for more than a few days. Not only are they so militant that no one in their right mind could follow them without going crazy, but they also DESTROY your metabolism, further complicating weightloss and just adding more pounds.
Now for the really really dangerous option: Surgery. Talk about risky. There has been a dramatic increase in the number of surgeries for weightloss in the past ten years.
Thanks to that movement, there has also been a dramatic increase in the number of fatalities and complications due to these types of surgeries, not to mention the monetary debts, and potential ineffetiveness.
I know your wondering if there is a better way, a safer, faster, or more efficient way you can permenantly lose that post partum weight gain.
Take a look at Valbien.

Artificial light while sleeping appears to interfere with the production of melatonin, which is a hormone associated with ovarian activity. Research shows that women’s cycles often normalize when artificial light is eliminated while sleeping. Eliminating the artificial light seems to allow the hormonal system to reset itself, so to speak, and take a fresh start. Couples who were thought to be infertile have been able to conceive by eliminating artificial light while sleeping.
Many women find that menstrual cycles are easier and more harmonious if they follow the cycles of the moon: menstruation on the new moon, ovulation on the full moon. Because we are surrounded by so much artificial light, even while sleeping, it can be a challenge to get in tune with the moon’s cycles. Women report being able to gradually harmonize their cycles with the cycles of the moon by sleeping in total darkness, except for one or two nights at the time of the full moon. If you want to try sleeping in total darkness, make some dark shades for your bedroom windows and make sure there is no light of any kind from your clock radio, from under your door, etc.
If you want to try harmonizing your cycle with the moon’s cycles, open your shades for one night during the full moon, and sleep in the moon’s light. If this is not possible, get a nightlight and use it only during the night of the full moon. You may have to continue this practice for some months, so be patient. You may enjoy seeing your cycles gradually respond to Grandmother Moon’s light.
